HiI am trying to install ubunto 9.0.4 from a live DVD on my Notebook with a 160
GB HDD where I have a 50 gb unallocated partition. However after I allocate
some space for swap I am unable to create root if I create root I get a message
the performence will suffer with out swap.This is the first time I am facing
this situation I have done a full instantiation successfully many time in the
past.using many distros. I am returning to FOSS after a long break of 34 years.
Can any one point to where I am steeping away from the procedure. The disk has
3 partitionwhere I am using xp pro for my present activities. I am planing to
switch to Foss full time as early as possible for my home use, however there
are some apps that still need XP as they are proprietary app where I have no
