I was asked by Velammal Engg College to deliver a lecture at their
college on 29.7.04. Few of their students visited our LF2004 and were
keen to hear more about Free/OS Software.
I made a presentation to 3rd year students for about 2 hours
highlighting the history and benefits of Linux and other Free/Open
source software.
I touched upon the activities of ilugc and asked them to participate
in it.
I feel that my presentation was well received and hope more students
will attend our lug.
I requested the HOD to allow us to conduct a seminar, which I hope
will materialise soon.
They are organising a seminar on Network Security sometime next week.
He is keen on someone from our side to talk in the seminar.
