Graphics into the kernel?

Whether or not the graphics subsystem is part of the operating
system's kernel or not is highly controversial, and popular opinion
seems to change over time. For example, a certain other major OS has
had graphics in, and then out of, the kernel several times now.

Sudo Voodoo

Using the root account for day-to-day work is a bad idea. It's better
to use sudo to act like root when you need to do a little system
administration. Ken Hess shows you how.

Boxes and Bugs

What can we learn from the ants and bees? Perhaps something we can
take something from the ants that may be helpful for clustering. If
nodes were cheap and plentiful, then who cares? It would be kind of
like stepping on ants: there always seem to be more.
