Just now I was asked to inspect new winxp system from a vendor. It
didn't recognise the monitor, took it to default monitor at
resolution 800x600, the vendor didn't know that, he thought
everything is fine (and also tried to fool us saying winxp knows
everything you dont' have to worry).
When changed to resolution 1024x768, monitor didn't work, with only
blinking lights. But similar monitor works fine on my rh7.3.
