Thanks. The event was well organised, and naturally the summary could
follow suit.
But, I missed writing about: Mr. Raja Subramaniam, who obtained space
for the festival from Asan Memorial, and who also hired the tables for
the computers; Mr. Arun and others who volunteered resources that made
the event possible. From the recent post of Mr. P. Raman, I now know
that he could be a little karam too ;) But I guess all that is over :)
The visual impact created by a Gnu/Linux installation is unmeasurable,
and with a little help and guidance from experts, many can confidently
change over to adopting free software. As Mr. P. Raman requests,
more volunteers in blood and life, could make a big difference in
taking forward this great movement. At shows like this, I wish that as
many computers as possible are networked, and even connected to the
internet, so that the true scope of a Gnu/Linux system can reach
visitors. Unless more volunteer to contribute, Gnu/Linux may remain
untried and unused by many who deserve this best operating system :)
Regards,
Ramanraj.
