I booted the live CD and installed it on a dispensable partition. Each
time I logged into the Gnome desktop I got an error message from the
window manager - note this was on the stock install by the Mint
installer. After the error message, the eye candy window decoration is
replaced with the a Motif look alike widgets.
Considering Ubuntu 7.10 Gnome/KDE work fine on the same system, this was
a bit of a disappointment. The eye candy on the Live CD is good
though.
