the London stock exchange has switched to Linux-based MilleniumIT trading
platform.The LSE expects significant performance increases and cost savings
over its current Microsoft .NET based TradElect system. The Linux based
trading platform is estimated to be able to process about 50 times more
transactions. Besides providing a more competitive high performance platform
required to accommodate the increasing number of high-frequency traders,
MilleniumIT also brings efficient and flexible in-house IT development
competence.
