The following issues where discussed for the upcoming IInd world
Software freedom day '05 to be held at Tamil Nadu Science and
technological centre(TNSTC) , Birla planetarium complex Kotturpuram
chennai 25.
1) Regarding Table and Table cloth. (Sourcing it from TNSTC , I will
update it in a couple of days, else we have to arrange it.
2)Monitors - We cannot get this from TNSTC.We have to find this from
some other source.
3). Laptop are appreciated for LDD as they are easy to carry.
PARTICIPANTS ARE REQUESTED TO BRING SPIKE BUSTERS ALONG WITH THE
SYSTEM.
4) ilugc badge is needed for vehicle and for the volunteers. This will
enable us to park the volunteers vehicle inside the campus (I have to
get permission from the Executive director for a separate accessable
parking lot).This will be serving as an identity card.
5).Media Correspondance - SFD Media Coverage letter to be prepared.
Mr. G Ramanathan suggested to prepare 2 letters, One for inviting the
media people and the other about the essense of the SFD & LDD which is
supposed to be issued after the function to the media people.
6) Banners - Mr.Sai kiran saikiranrgda@xxxxxxxxx has come forward to
take care of this.
7) Mr.Chandra sekhar changusee2k@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx has said that he will
try to make arrange ment for some machine. He told that the outcome
will be known by tuesday at the maximum.
8) Sponsorer to be explored for transit of machine. A Vehicle to
travel across the city to pick up the machine and drop them back in
the same place from where it is taken after the function.
9)Posters of size a3 (about SFD) to be made and mailed to colleges.
10)Posters about the exhibit to be prepared. This will be hanging in the stalls.
11)Cd sales stalls. Cds will be toasted and sold for Rs25/- Per Cd.
12)Some printed invitation to be prepared and Mrs Girija Vidhyanathan
IAS, Mr. Vivek Harinarayanan IAS IT Secretary to be invited.
13) Next preparation meet at The venue , Tamil Nadu Science and
Technological Centre , Kotturpuram , Chennai -25 by 3rd sep 2005
15:00 hrs.( i will get permission for this meet from the Executive
director).
