cool - largest I remember was 45 or so in 2007. If we can find the reason for
the attendance, then we can replicate it. can we find out why people attended
this meeting? The reasons could be:
a. coincidence - it so happened that many people were free that day so they
came
or
b. a particular talk attracted them - I suspect this is a main reason and I
think it would have been talk number 1. I know many lug members are into
mysql, and if this was the main reason for the crowd, then we must find more
subjects that people will hunger to know
or
c. It was talk no 4 - if so, we should continue this series with a planned
structure
or
d. those who attended devcamp managed to drag a part of the audience to the
LUG meet - if so, we must hold devcamp/barcamp/whatever every morning on
second saturday
it will be interesting if those who attended gave their reason/s for attending
Chandrasekhar Babu started with his talk on mariadb and explained about
optimising the db and explained features of Maria DB.
Senthil Kumar gave a talk on his experience of getting converted to open
source business model.
FSFTN Speaker Siddharth, taken the presentation on the preambles of Free
Software Movement.
Raman taken class for System administration.
