This Saturday and Sunday, Girish gave a wonderful seminar on Networking
Concepts. He covered very vast concepts and Topics.
I shall try to publish a podcast as soon as possible for the global open
source community. Koushik is helping me out with this. We are having a
lot of problem with buggy sound drivers...
The IIT ICSR hall is so capable of handling more people. We expected about
200 people. But first 87 and second day about 30.
I have no idea why there was such a low turnout for day II.
But the people who came were really keen on learning crypto. Perhaps the
first day scared them off with too much information overload...
Some students were so brilliant to follow him and ask doubts.
There were very few students. Most people came with several years of
real industry experience. There were some professional trainers and real
hackers who asked and answered questions.
Mahadevan took care of Food, tea and snacks.
Barathi tooks care of whole thing.
Yes, I am really indebted to everyone for making it such a smooth and grand
affair.
I hope the participation levels increase in future.
This was the first time for us. Bharathi and I both got plenty of
experience and feedback.
I invite more hackers to conduct events like this. Bharathi can help you
organize fun events like this.
We can even invite people from other places.
Koushick and Noorul helped a lot.
But, we missed noorul today.
They were some of the many who made this work. It was a great team
effort. And Shrini, you make a great photographer. :)
And your diagrams were helpful too. :)
I dont know how others got the knowledge.
I got only less things.
I have to increase my level.
The slides and podcast will be available for folks to download.
(I don't think the technical term is podcast, I shall try to publish the
complete audio of the talk)
It is not necessary to learn everything; just whatever interests you
and what is relevant to you.
I covered what I knew based on my experience. We all have our interests and
priorities.
Girish. You did a wonderful thing man.
Two full days. Full talking.

Overall it was a great learning experience for everyone. Somehow God helped me
bring
my one year old dream to fruition. And for the first attempt, this was
more than enough for me.
