[Ilugc] Not able to boot in Linux

As you suggested
i tried the following command
#grub-install /dev/hda
i got the error as /dev/hda does not have any corresponding BIOS
drive. The same error repeats even when i mention the partition No (i.e
/dev/hda{1-6} )

Hi,
Once you get the shell prompt, try this...
# grub (press enter)
grub> root (hd0, 2) (this will specify where to find the /boot partition
grub> setup (hd0) (this specifies which is your hard disk to install
grub to)
grub> quit
# reboot
Now you should get a proper grub menu. HTH :)
