Application: Gmountiso
What it is:
GMount ISO is a virtual drive for Linux written using PyGTK and Glade.
It is a frontend to the mount command that allows you to convert CDs
and unencrypted DVDs into virtual drives that run directly on your
hard drive, getting rid of the need for physical discs and your CD-ROM
drive.
Features:
The access rate for the virtual disc is about 200 times faster than
that of a physical CD.
