Application: QSpeedTest (Test Latency and Speed of An Internet
Connection Under Ubuntu)
What it is:
QSpeedTest is a tool with GUI built with QT and C++ that allows users
to evaluate the performance of their ISP internet connection as well
as their LAN access. The tool will try to run some automated pings and
speed tests to various target servers.

To install in Ubuntu:
Open the terminal and run this sequence of commands:
wget -O qspeedtest_linux_i686_rev52.tar.gz http://goo.gl/ZwKk3
sudo tar -xzvf qspeedtest_linux_i686_rev52.tar.gz -C /usr/local/bin
You can now start QSpeedTest with this command:
qspeedtest
