I go to Sagar Infosystems. There is a guy called
Vinod, there. Recently, he had a problem with a small
Sony Vaio portable computer that had come from Japan.
As usual windoze crashed ... what else can you
expect?.
Someone suggested booting from some windoze boot disk,
use fdisk, but, it didn't lead him to anything. I told
him to boot from some floppy GNU/Linux distribution to
test the hardware. It only booted from a small hard
disk or through floppy. He got hal91 from the link
here:
http://www.linuxlinks.com/Distributions/Floppy/
and while boot up, during hard disk read/write he got
the status ready read error. I told him hard disk
problem, and it had to be changed. He was now
confident to answer the client. Case closed.
