The legislature in India is hopeless, but the executive is not all
that bad. There are occassional good news about brave civil servants
in the Election Commission or Human Rights Commission who refuse to be
affected by the general rot.
Really Scaring. If this allowed, the media will be slowly swallowed in full
by them, only to start bending the fourth pillar - The Judiciary.
The media in India, barring an occassional Indian Express here or a
Tarun Tejpal there, is quite useless. There is hardly any difference
between a mainstream newspaper like the Times of India and a tabloid
paper.
I pray god for something constructive to happen to counter all these.
Praying is not enough. Will you vote come Monday?
