As a general practice, I register my domain with an ICANN approved
registrar. Get DNS service for the respective domains to be hosted
by another provider, email by Google Apps or the web hosting provider.
Administration is a bit more work but when it comes to switching any
one service, I am not beholden to one provider who holds all the
apples :)
