Hi all,
HTML5 [1] introduces a new simple way of annotating web pages to make them
semantic - the microdata [2]. Microdata annotates the DOM with scoped
name/value pairs from custom vocabularies. Thus a web page can be made
readable even by machines, without much strain for the web designer.
Such custom vocabularies are in a primitive stage with only a few such as
Event <http://data-vocabulary.org/Event>,
Organization<http://data-vocabulary.org/Organization>,
Person <http://data-vocabulary.org/Person>,
Product<http://data-vocabulary.org/Product>,
Review <http://data-vocabulary.org/Review>. But web pages may contain
contents about various other entities. Defining such vocabularies is a part
of my project (which involves semantic annotation of Wiki). I need a list of
such classes which needs to be defined so. If you feel that a particular
class of objects are used widely in web pages and needs vocabulary
definition, please share it here so that I can develop them and give it
back to the society.
