[Ilugc] [OT] PC Configuration for Web Development

What PC configuration would you recommend for Web Development (PHP, MySQL,
etc.)? Mainly what processor and RAM.
Do you really need an i7 processor with 2+ GHz machine? Or would a basic
Ubuntu system with Dual Core processor & 2 GB RAM do?
If you are comfortable with vim / emacs then a system with low
configuration will do. There are some devices with 2GB RAM and 1.5+
GHz dual core ARMv7 that cost less than 100$ (need a HDMI tv / monitor
though) which you can give a try - most of them come with android but
some support Ubuntu Linux. If that works out it is going to be dead
cheap. If that did not work out you got a cool smart TV :).
