again. icann.org permits some registrars to register a domain
for 2 days without making any payment. And if payment is not
made, the registration expires. This loop hole is exploited by
evil registrars.
I learnt this the hard way as well and was equally shocked.
Best way to check domain name availability is to query your
own dns server or look up the whois database.
