Sigh. Nobody in the present generation seem to be even aware of the
world's biggest source of knowledge, Usenet.
And even there, there are always some terms that
end up with poor quality results:

Well, one search does not make summer. You should be refining your
search anyway. On the other hand, for any search term, I find Yahoo's
first results screen full of advertising content.
Talking about quality of search results, ever tried searching a LUG
mailing list archives hosted on Yahoo Groups? One of the reasons I
moved couple of lists I own to Google.
Now if Google comes up with an instant messenger, I can be rid of
Yahoo once and forever :)
