Hmm.. weird. Private addresses are not routable. which ISP is this?
Seeing an RFC1918 IP in a traceroute is not uncommon.
For example, several routers in the same facility / the same network might
exchange traffic with each other over a local interface before it then goes
on to another ISP's routers, to finally reach google [unless there's a
connectivity problem or one of the routers on the way has suppressed ICMP,
which will break traceroutes]
