that the term "Open Source" is quite similar to the term "Hinduism" -
arbitrary, open to interpretation and confusing to the uninitiated.
The term "Open Source" only refers to software whose source is available,
not on whether we have the rights to use it, maintain it and distribute it
freely as a community.
Which is why, to refer to software that is By the people, For the people
and Of the people the term "Free Software" is better than "Open Source".
Not using the term "Open Source" would have completely eliminated this
thread ;)
