[Ilugc] Open source - converting PDF to Word

Is there any software available in opensource for
converting pdf files into
editable word or openoffice supported formats?
My google search lists many such tools for windows but
none in Linux
platform.
Hi,
Pdf is somewhat ultimate format. You can take printout or read on
screen. You can convert pdf to text but you loose all formating details.
That is why xml (apart from many other things it will do) file, write
fop convert to pdf or do what ever you want.
We (India) get lot of projects converting pdf to xml format or docbook.
