Any recommendations for email archiving software?
Requirements include:
1. Good indexing and searching engine (high-level customisation - at
config file-level - and tagging would be a huge plus)
2. Web interface for searching and browsing
3. Allow automatically (during indexing) or manually linking to
associated images, audio, and video files. These files may not be
email attachments.
4. Slight chance it may need to work with Outlook archives (PST?)
I've used Mhonarc (http://www.mhonarc.org/) in a limited fashion about
10 years back, but that was in a Solaris mbox environment. Its then
rival, Hypermail (http://www.hypermail-project.org/), seems to be no
longer actively developed, per its home pate.
mharc (http://www.mhonarc.org/mharc/doc/) which builds on Procmail and
Namazu seems to have most of what I want. Anybody who has used this
and can comment?
