Hi Ashok
Given that you have both gstreamer (I assume totem as the player) and
mplayer plugins on the same sytem, I recommend you check in
Tools->Options->Applications as to which plays the video.
I dont have that problem on my Fedora 10 machine. Check your video
card and run memtest86. At times, a bad RAM can cause these problems
You can, as a temporary meause, set videos to download to your system
first using the same Options->Applications dialog
I forget to mention, if I play any video files(from VLC, or from the
browser) my system is getting rebooted. This is the link I used to
install my Fedora system for playing the video files.
http://techchorus.net/how-play-music-and-video-fedora-10
If I play any video in vlc or in my broswer(youtube), my system is
getting rebooted. If I did not play anything, system is working good.
Can I check any log or anywhere to find out what is the problem?
/var/log/messages does not seem to give any information for this
problem.
Thanks,
Siva.
