You haven't mentioned your video card. Since you mentioned that you had
originally configured X for the correct resolution, i suspect that a driver
change/update must have affected the setting.
In any case, my recommendation is to update your Fedora installation as soon as
possible, since even Fedora 10 reached it's end-of-life recently (so, there
won't be any updates/bug fixes for it and any prior releases).
