Hi,
I had bought a Raspberry Pi Zero W a couple of months back. I realised that
this does not have the horsepower for my use case and am buying the 3B+. It
is a great device though to learn computing/Linux in a low powered
environment.

The core is a ARMv6 SoC running at 1Ghz with 512MB RAM. Inbuilt WiFi and
Bluetooth.
I used the system with Raspian Stretch Linux distribution.
Open to anyone, but assume it would be useful for students :)

In case anyone is interested in what I bought it for, it was to do ADS-B
tracking of flights using a SDR dongle. I wanted to gain some experience in
using Linux compute and device control in remote locations. A starting
point to setup a remote observatory for my telescope. Right now, "remote"
is my terrace :) later it would be Kodaikanal.

It is off now. It detected 974 aircraft and 78,222 lat log positions in
about 1 week of intermittent operation.
