NRC-FOSS-Anna University,along with SALIS project , IISc bangalore and STPI
chennai organized a workshop on the commercial use of FOSS in industry at hotel
Savera , RK SALAI on the 31th august 2007.
Speakers from industry who had successfully leveraged open source software
tools to cut costs ,spoke of their experiences with using FOSS tools ,and how
it could cut development costs and get their business up and running in a short
time. The event evoked a good response .
