[Ilugc] Reduce the booting time?

Hi All,

I recently installed the deb lenny/sid. The total booting process
(console mode) takes nearly 1min. My PC is AMD XP 2000+ with 256MB.
All unwanted  services are stopped and kernel modules are
blacklisted.

In the same machine, FC3 takes ~25s to give the prompt. Any tips to
reduce the boot time?
