I am having a strange problem of taking remote desktop of Ubuntu 10.04 to
another box which is running 10.04 with the inbuilt vino server. I am just
getting a Black screen and sometimes when I connect I am able to see the
screen of the remote machine however the screen is not refreshing. (i.e) My
mouse movements makes to the remote machine however when I click on a file
to open it, that does not reflect locally on the remote desktop viewer.
I did google around and found that I had to disable Desktop effects on the
remote machine which I did however no effect. :-(
I also tried disabling /desktop/gnome/remote_access/disable_xdamage with no
effect even after reboot :-(
