Glad that it helped, one suggestion is go to the samba official site -- you
have a book from Oreilly which can be viewed online and many more tips and
tricks about samba.if you want some thing really fast -- try Free NAS-- it
is based on Free BSD and has a very small footprint. Mind you this is
dedicated for file serving and does not do any thing else
In freenas is it possible to give rights according to groups. The main reason
is that i want to restrict file access to certain users based on the group they
belong to. In the freenas server site they had mentioned that right now it is
not possible to give rights on a group basis
