It is in Debian repos and I suspect it is available for *ubuntu
flavors, not sure about CentOS.
I have used it in and the results were fine for what I wanted to accomplish.
A search for "pdf stitch" also gave PDFsam:

Screen shots look promising.
YMMV with both of the above.
