Microsoft is criticised much by the FOSS community -- one or the other
aspect of it. Their software, their ways of doing business, their attitude,

 Hmm.. why do you think M$ is singled out? We have companies like IBM,
sun microsystems etc. respected by FOSS community. Those companies are
also doing business, writing software.

 So why not throw the question to M$, why they are not ready to accept others ?

BTW, cross posting and having discussion across multiple lists is a
very bad idea.
