Hi!
I remember that I activated the sound system in the KDE control
center when I logged in as root. I thought I needn't restart my
system for the changes to take place and straight away mailed you
guys. Now I started my system again and Presto!!! the sound works. I
am really sorry for this. However my other question still holds. Proxy
setting for the epiphany web browser.
