Hi!
The sound system doesn't seem to be working in my debian system
eversince I changed my user settings. One fine day, I turned on my
system and logged into xfce only to see a blank panel with all the
settings gone. Then I did something foolish. I created another user
with the same directory as the home directory. Now, my settings were
gone forever.
Suddenly my sound stopped working. All apps like Juk and
rhythombox started crashing on startup and xmms keeps quiet. Fed up of
all this , I logged in as root and my joy knew no bounds. Sound was
working. Now how do I make it work for me?
Also, how should I specify proxy settings for my Epiphany web
browser. Previously it was working fine. But after this incident, it
stopped working.
