gave 191 hits in goole (similar pages excluded). 90% of them
would be mailing list. So, what is the problem in avoiding such
practise when sending mail to public mailing lists? You
are not going to lose anything.

and most spambots know how to pick up tharayil AT gmail
DOT com anyway...

Not as easily as if it is in plain format.
