Want the source of this "Success Story"??
Look no further than the PCQuest of March. (A mag that I thought was
decidedly anti-MS)..
Page 7.
Microsoft Windows Server System - Ad.
Top half of ad says:- Which offers superior TCO: Windows or Linux?
ASK CDSL.
Bottom half of ad says:-
"With Linux there was nobody offering us support. If there was a problem we
had to do our own R and D to find out what was wrong -- this had cost
implications for us, as well as for our clients."

Why don't you please point to links where you found this story. The CDSL
site www.cdslindia.com seems to be using ie specific scripts,
effectively blocking its site to us.  Anyway, the story you have
narrated is a vague one, designed to market some proprietary tools.

AFAIK, NSE uses free software to transact business in our stock markets:

What is good for NSE should be good for all others who have heavy
business to transact.
