I have its variant (SC420 & SC430) running with CentOS 4.x for 2 years
without any issues. Hope Etch should do the same.
I had 4 DELL servers with RAID controllers running Redhat for 3 years. 
Did not have any issues. Servers have very few driver issues as devices 
are Intel/ Adaptec etc which are normally supported by all distros.
