VECFOSS is involved in FOSS awareness in Velammal.
I am meeting a lot of staff, Head of department of CSE & IT have given their
good support.
We are planning for full fledged FOSS Lab, running Debian Etch.
There is a good word of mouth abt FOSS, due to aggressive promotion.
Once seniors are back to college still more people will be up the in group.
I have given introductory talk to 3rd yr IT and would be doing the same for
CSE too.
An amount was collected after the talk from the students for the CD medium
for distributing Ubuntu Gutsy.
we have setup a public wiki with few topics like purpose, agenda,intro etc
wiki was suggested by one of the FOSS enthusiast from MECH, to introduce the
concept of
contributing.There were few FOSS enthusiast whom were identified because of
VECFOSS.

Posters are all up at several places at the campus.
Guess minimum of 50 people will turn up for the conference on Feb 2 n 3 as
Feb 1 is working.
Its my pleasure to invite as many Guest Lectures possible on FOSS at my
college.
