[Ilugc] Will apt-get update not upgrade kernel also?

Will apt-get update not update the kernel also automagically? Or do I have
to do it in the old fashioned way by compiling and installing?

restart the machine and see. also look at /boot for ur new kernel
image and also look at /var/apt/cache/ for your downloaded deb files
