I used to have very good batchmates and classmates from Jammu in college.
Culturally you people seem to be far closer to Tamilians than the rest
of North India.
I am sure you guys have it within you do well like us.
Anyway to start a LUG in Jammu, you will need sound infrastructure.
Nowadays leased line and ADSL are
somewhat affordable.
I am not sure about the availability of BSNL in Jammu terrain.
I suppose it should be stable and that it would give you good bandwidth.
Once you obtain that you will need to install Linux and run mailman
Python based list manager like ILUGC.
After that your job is to attract users. ;)
how to connect my laptop with bsnl type -II modem wirelessly.It is working
fine with wire?
