The simplest method that pops into my mind.
1. get both lappies to register with dyndns with unique hostnames e.g.
lappyA and lappyB
2. From lappyA: ssh <userid>@lappyB.<dyndns-domain>
3. From lappyB: ssh <userid>@lappyA.<dyndns-domain>
