We're having some trouble on the server using Fedora core 1. There are a lot
of cdk* <cdk3lkgH> files in the /tmp directory. It is a Live Server.
Please help me on this. Is it a Virus, or any other problem.
Apache means its a perl or php script on your server that is creating these
Given you are running fedora core 1 its probably completely unupdated
and you've been hacked .. or you have a badly and insecurely written
script on your server that a spammer has broken into and is using it to
send spam
Or maybe its a badly written script after all and its just going on
eating up resources on your system.
Cant tell without looking at the server but you'd have to be crazy to
run a fc1 server unpatched on a public IP open to the internet ..
