   So ioremap() is done for Memory mapped IO
only..
 and not for IO mapped IO ( am i correct)

Why not?

Use ioremap() for IO-mapped and use inb(), outb()
functions.

  is it must, to access memory mapped address we
should do ioremap()???

Did you try it without remapping? Oops ... you will
get that. Good way to learn oops debugging!
