[Ilugc] doubts in kernel porting & device drivers

Hi all,

------>what are diff types of Linux Images ??
(what is sandpoint, ramdisk  images and why??)
        
------>how to identify whether a PCI card supports
Memory map or IO map or both???(through program...not
by data sheets...)
