[Ilugc] $ function not found error when using Jquery

Hi all
The $ function not found error disappeared on refreshes.I have a doubt
regarding using ifixpng pluggin.I have a transparent png image as a
background for a table  <td>.This is defined as a part of a class in the css
file.I tried using ifixpng on that class name like this
(."classname").ifixpng(); it does not seem to work.Has any one worked on it
or anyother workaround for this IE menace.
