[Ilugc] how can i save php files in ubuntu

can any one clear my doubt ? what is geany software for what purpose it can
be useful ?
it is an editor - it is useful for editing code (handles python/html/xml/css
and other types also). It is very lightweight but has all the features one
needs in a code editor.
