I have requriement to take snapshot of a websites from my php based web
application, If some body had done it earlier, please do share your
experience or a pointer regarding it would be highly appreciated.

download this 9MB script, this will convert the content of url to an image

for example running "./html2image www.google.com ./google.png" this will
create an image google.png which looks same as google.com web page

Here the sample output which i got for the above command

Have a button on your web page saying "take a snapshop" on clicking the
button send the current url  to html2image script via php and get the
snapshot.
