The only problem that I see is that, if one of the team members goes on
flexible timings, or works on a different schedule, then it throws away the
uniformity of the rest of the team members and collaborating becomes a major
task for me. As it is, I am working way too many weekends, which I would very
much like to avoid.
I would prefer people fulltime, if you can understand my reasons. Also, in
terms of projects, it is good to get your hands wet with some project and then
diversify, as that way the talent is proven and reliable, and can be expected
of some deliverable. Focus becomes a key issue when money and effort are spent.

Just a friendly advice from a brother. Well, I am both a friend and brother. :-)
If you work at night, your system loses synch and everything becomes topsy
turvy. Many youngsters don't realize this but in the long run it will have
disastrous consequences.
If you want to work hard and smart I suggest go to bed early and get up early.
Not that it works for me since I mostly wake up late but this is the only
solution to putting in more hours of hard work.
In intellectual endeavors like what we people are upto it is very important
that the mind stays fresh. Or else we will be working hard and not smartly.
Again IWFM but YMMV. You are warned.
I make sure that whatever I work on tingles my bones and flesh and hopefully
also titillates my emotions. That way any amount of hard work will only be
pleasure for me.
I have developed a habit of doing some other work in lieu of the main work and
that is how I relax. This is the best way to relax as you get both work done.
Reduce talking to people. Helps save a great deal of mental and physical energy.
And of course stay away from women as much as possible. This is an advice for
students and bachelors of course. :-)
If you are a woman stay away from men. :-)
Ensure that you do yoga, swimming, jogging or something to keep your body
strong and healthy. Prayer and meditation also help a great deal.
If you fall sick, everyone who depends on you suffer, not only you.
TTTT the last time I fell sick was more than 10 months ago.
In order not to get mood swings or laziness I suggest yoga.
There are particular asanas that work for me. sirsasana,matsyasana and
padmasana come to mind. However they are very very difficult to do for non
vegetarians and people with untrained physique.
But it is only by controlling the body that you control the mind.
Now, don't start arguing about this or start a flame war. You know I am in no
mood to argue. :-)
Be serious about your work but be very very casual and humorous with the peole
you interact. Without humor no relationship, no work, no endeavor can succeed
beyond a point.
I can go on but I am no corporate or MBA guy!

Basically i am just trying to squeeze my schedules and contribute to the
projects.
For two reasons.
1. I am really interested in doing something which is original
2. I attended your speech ( on data transmission security ) and am impressed
on the intellectual richness of the talk.
I am really keen in participating in the projects if the terms are a bit
flexible.Compensation doesn't really matter.
BTW could you pl list / outline the project you are planning

I want to send alert mail from one of our server. The
sendmail version is 8.13. I just gave the relay host
(DS) entry in the in /etc/mail/sendmail.cf to one of
our primary mail server. When I send a mail from cmd
line using mail command like
#mail -v -s "test" user@xxxxxxxxxx
The mail is sent with the MAIL FROM header as
. It is not adding the hostname after the
@. and gives the error as "Invalid hostname".
But if I send mail with the recipient address in mail
cmd, the mail is sent.
#mail -v -s "test" -r localuser@xxxxxxxxxxxx
user@xxxxxxxxxx
How to make sendmail to add the hostname. The same
type of configuration I am running in another server
that is running sendmail 8.11, which is working.

Try the masquerade domain or always use domain name settings in
sendmail.cf. See
