Hi,
Am trying to import a database dump via phypmyadmin, and it times out...
pretty large db it seems.. the time out value has been set to 300 seconds..
which file to locate and make the modification, exactly?

that DNS service is available/reachable on that IP. Reliable method is
to invoke digg/nslookup and see if google.com gets resolved.
In my experience, both BSNL and VSNL/TATA DNS service is very patchy.
I'd recommend you change the DNS Server IPs of OpenDNS or any other such
provider.

I need a 2 port KVM swith to conect and use two linux systems at home with a
single montor, keyboard and mouse. I hope somebody in ilugc might be using
KVM switch. I would like to know where I can get that switch and if possible

Hi,
I run Gutsy in my laptop and recently downloaded Puppy Linux to have
it installed on to my 256MB pen drive(sdb). I downloaded the ISO and
used the 'dd' to write the image file to sdb. During this time I also
had connected a USB harddisk.(sda - ntfs).
By mistake I specified sda1 instead of sdb1. I realized it immediately
but I was too scared to press 'ctrl c' fearing it would corrupt the
partition.
The ISO was 46 MB. Size of sda1 is about 45 GB. Now when I try to
mount sda1 it gets mounted as a CDROM drive with puppy linux on it.
I am sure other than those 46 MB all data in sda1 should be intact. Is
there any way that to recover that data or is it possible to recover
overwritten ntfs partition.
